"At first I was skeptical about making the investment to have our arches ceramic coated. I was always under the impression that as long as you used proper chemicals, some elbow grease, and consistency then that’s all arches should ever need. My boss decided to give it a try and I couldn’t have disagreed more.

It was only when I visited that first wash we decided to ceramic coat after being open for 7 months that I noticed something peculiar about the frames and arches in this tunnel. They didn’t just look clean, they still looked absolute brand new. I asked the manager “what are you doing to keep everything tip top?”, expecting to hear that they had been scrubbing their fingers to the bone with SOS pads or some other cleaning application. Her answer was simple, we just make sure to high pressure the arches down every night with the occasional SAW when build up get’s heavy. Side note: this has been our highest volume wash for several months in a row. I knew that it wasn’t this easy at the other locations and it dawned on me that this was the only site we had tried applying the ceramic coating to. Just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, we have applied ceramic coating to 3 other sites since then and thankfully had the same result. Takes less time to clean and when it’s clean, you can tell a substantial difference from our other tunnels.

When we buy a new equipment package we spend anywhere from $850K to $1M on our layout. This is supposed to last us anywhere from 7-10 years. Spending the money during the initial stages of development to have them coated is well worth protecting your investment. I highly recommend Colton and his ceramic applications to anyone with a new car wash project or existing facility. Try it once and you will love it."
